After two years of hibernation, Tampere Airport is brought back to life, as airBaltic opens its Tampere base, which is the first of its kind outside the Baltics. As of the beginning of May, the Latvian flag carrier starts to ramp up the frequency by introducing new direct routes to European top destinations and continues its extensive route offering via Riga – connecting Tampere with over 70 destinations.
Along with the introduction of new routes, airBaltic will operate nearly 100 monthly flights to/from Tampere Airport. After a long pause with Covid-19 Airpro is thrilled with this news.
Airpro and airBaltic partnered up at Tampere Airport more than five years ago and have recently signed a contract extension that supports the endeavours of both parties.
“We are truly delighted to continue our cooperation with airBaltic. After a long pause caused by Covid-19 the continued cooperation and the increased volume is fantastic news for us and our personnel in Tampere,“ says Mikko Turpeinen Head of Commercial from Airpro.
