Airpro offered ground handling services for a charity flight from Britain to Rovaniemi entirely free of charge. Contributing to the trip of dreams for British children is part of Airpro’s extensive investments in charity this year.
A charity flight carrying British families to enjoy Finnish winter and Christmas atmosphere arrived in Lapland on Sunday. Airpro participated in organising the charity flight by offering ground handling services free of charge, de-icing included. The flight was operated by Thomas Cook Airlines and arranged by the British charity organisation When You Wish upon a Star.
Among other granted wishes, When You Wish upon a Star fulfils children’s dreams by organizing trips for children and their families to once-in-a-lifetime destinations around the world. In Rovaniemi, the children had the chance to experience Finnish winter activities such as snowmobiling and husky and reindeer rides. Naturally, the day culminated in a visit to Santa Claus Village and meeting Santa Claus himself before returning home.
Taking part in organizing a charity flight is part of Airpro’s extensive investments in charity this year. “Earlier this year we have made donations for six different charity organisations. Now we had a chance to do something good with our actual work. We are happy to have had the opportunity to make a dream trip to Finnish Lapland come true for sick children and their families”, says Airpro CEO Janne Hattula.
