Designed by Touchpoint, Airpro's customer service employees’ new uniforms have been received with a festive atmosphere at Helsinki Airport. The first ones to wear the new workwear collection are the supervisors and instructors of the Security Services and Passenger Service units at Helsinki Airport.

The most important feature of the new workwear collection is its timelessness. The simply elegant collection is perfectly suited to the international environment of our airports. The new collection has been designed by consulting the Airpro people who are to use it.
Sustainability as a base
We have a priviledge to be part of the latest innovations of the textile circular economy by recycling our worn-out uniforms. We recycle end-of-life clothing and some of the clothes used in ramp units into a new textile fibre at Rester. Rester is the the first plant in Northern Europe to turn end-of-life textiles into a new fibre on a large scale. Other elements of sustainability include high-quality materials, well-fitting workwear, maintenance and washing of workwear.
We are proud of our sustainable uniforms which have nothing to do with fast-fashion industry which produces around 100 billion new garments every year: 13 garments for every person in the world every year. On average, these clothes are used seven times, after which they are thrown away. Our workwear, both in style and quality, will last for years in hard use.
Materials of our new workwear collection
Recycled polyester
Polyester is an oil-based synthetic fibre. We always prefer recycled polyester to virgin polyester to save emissions and promote a circular economy.
Recycled cotton
Recycled cotton is made from surplus cotton already made into fabric or by re-fibring discarded cotton garments.
Cellulose based marerials
Cellulosic man-made fibres are man-made fibres made from cellulose (e.g. Tencel and Lyocell). In future, these textile fibres will be a good alternative to cotton or even a substitute for cotton in textiles.
