Finnair and Airpro have signed a two-year partnership agreement to provide de-icing services at Helsinki Airport.
Airpro provides a wide range of de-icing services throughout Finland and is the market leader in the field in Finland. The cooperation agreement with Finnair further strengthens the partnership and enables the long-term development of the operations. Airpro has made significant investments in enabling greener ground handling by purchasing modern electric de-icing vehicles in Helsinki and developing more efficient operations together with the airport and other de-icing operators. Smooth winter operations are important for air traffic, and Finland traditionally does a high-quality and efficient job of minimising the impact of different weather conditions.
"It is great to be able to continue our cooperation with Finnair. Our nationwide network supports de-icing operations both in Helsinki and at domestic network stations. Our network covers 11 airports in Finland, employing more than 250 de-icing professionals," says Henri Suurnäkki, Director of Ground Services at Airpro.
