Just before the turn of the year, we received great news as Airpro's brand-new ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates landed in our mailbox! We successfully conducted audits at five of our stations at the end of 2024 - at Turku, Tampere, Vaasa, Kuopio, and Helsinki Airports. Although the audit focused on these five stations, all our stations are now ISO certified for ground handling. The certificates highlight our commitment to high quality and environmental standards and are a testament to our quality work.
The ISO 9001 certificate focuses on quality management systems, which helps Airpro improve its processes and meet customer quality expectations. On the other hand, the ISO 14001 certificate ensures that our environmental management system meets international requirements. It helps Airpro effectively manage its environmental impacts and ensures our operations comply with airport environmental permit regulations.
Timo Venäläinen Quality and Safety Manager:
"These certifications are crucial for Airpro, ensuring our operations meet international standards, and enhancing our competitiveness in the market. We received highly positive feedback for our carefully documented processes and high-quality operational performance. I am proud that we have achieved these certificates. Thank you to all involved in this process!"
Airpro has been a pioneer in the field of green ground handling, and we have made significant investments in zero-emission equipment and renewable energy. Our commitment to environmental responsibility helps decrease the environmental impact of our actions and fosters sustainable development
A new Environmental Management System has been published as part of the development work, providing comprehensive guidelines and procedures to ensure environmental responsibility in all our operations.
ISO certifications are the first part of a broader whole, where we follow a rotating cycle for three years. We have laid a good foundation, but continuous improvement in environmental responsibility is key. ISO 9001 and ISAGO certifications support one another in the context of quality and safety from a continuous improvement perspective. From here, we can confidentially continue towards our next goals.
