A new career or a one-winter blizzard? Recruitment for Lapland Winter Season has begun!

For the upcoming winter season Airpro is hiring up to 300 seasonal workers! The recruitment has now started and the preparations took place in spring. Winter Season is Lapland is short and hectic and Airpro offers possibilities for those wanting to stay in Aviation but also to the ones who just want to experience one winter at the Lapland Airports.

Seasonal work in Lapland offers the opportunity to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment and create international networks. Seasonal work is experiential work. Few people can say that they work under the northern sky, where the northern lights illuminate the sky and the Arctic nature surrounds on all sides. Seasonal work also enables personal growth and development, providing valuable experience in a fast-paced and diverse work environment.

As with all recruitment, our goal for seasonal employees is to find the right people for the right tasks so that we can offer the best possible experience to both our customers and employees. We are looking for employees and supervisors for ground handling service and airport service tasks, for example, loading aircraft or security officers. There are jobs for both customer-oriented people and people looking for physical work in Kuusamo, Rovaniemi, Kittilä, Enontekiö and Ivalo.

High demand and short periods of time

The winter season attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world to Lapland, which means that the number of personnel needed increases significantly in a short period of time. Not only is the number of staff needed, but the need for skills is also increasing. Safety comes always first in the aviation industry! At times, logistics and accommodation are also a challenge during the season and we want to help our seasonal employees whenever possible.

In seasonal recruitment, we work closely with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth process and the best possible outcome. Managers and supervisors from stations, HR, Training team and communications are involved in the process, not forgetting external partners, for example in marketing. Preparations for the season begins already in early spring, although recruitments themselves has just started. Work itself usually takes place during October-April with task-specific training and orientations.

Why leave an aviation career only for the winter season?

We aim to offer our seasonal employees opportunities to continue their careers also after the winter season. For example, a summer job in a busy urban environment, where our employees can continue to develop their skills and experience new challenges might be available! We have many options for work, and we help our employees find a suitable career path.

Together we will make the upcoming winter season memorable!
