Airpro begins ground handling partnership with Qatar Airways as Helsinki route launches

Airpro will provide full ground handling services for Qatar Airways at Helsinki Airport as the airline resumes flights to Helsinki. The launch of the Helsinki route and the start of the partnership were marked at the gate at Helsinki Airport on 15 July 2026. The new partnership will support around 360 Qatar Airways flights annually.

Airpro, Finland’s leading aviation services provider, is proud to have been selected as Qatar Airways’ ground handling partner at Helsinki Airport. The partnership strengthens Airpro’s role as a trusted aviation services partner for international airlines operating to Finland.

Qatar Airways resumed operations between Doha and Helsinki on 15 July 2026. The route will initially be operated four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. From 1 August 2026, the service will increase to daily flights with alternating morning and afternoon departures. The route will be operated with Qatar Airways’ modern Boeing 787-8 fleet.

Airpro will support Qatar Airways with full ground handling services, including passenger services, ramp handling, baggage handling and de-icing. The airline’s operations will be supported by Airpro’s low-emission ground support equipment fleet, including electric Elephant e-BETA deicers that support safe operations during Finland’s winter months.
