Spring 2020 has been undoubtedly the strangest period for everyone around the globe. During this three-month period, we have focused on critical development projects and concentrated on maintaining our ground handling equipment. As travel restrictions are slowly being lifted and positive news have started to surface from various airlines, we are ready to ramp up our operations in a heartbeat.
Forerunners change the world
The last few months have been a true learning experience. For us, this spring has shown our strength in working and operating in agile ways in exceptional circumstances. For that reason, we are ready and committed to launch our new strategy next fall, as planned last year. Our mindset is already in building the Airpro of the future – Airpro 2025. In our new strategy, we are concentrating on developing the industry with our customers, stakeholders and with our constantly evolving personnel.
Sustainability is one our main focus areas in the future on our corporate responsibility. One of our goals continues to be creating well-balanced targets for greenhouse gas emissions, concurrently helping our customers and partners to find solutions for environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions for their operations. This is where our green heart is at. Already, 70% of our ground handling equipment in Helsinki airport run on electricity powered by 100% renewable electricity, and we are confident on increasing this figure. We have invested some 10 million euros to our eGSE fleet since 2017.
